Availability: This guide describes the new exercise-library experience. If your account does not yet show the CC catalog controls, contact support to check availability.
The Coach Catalyst Exercise Library gives you a shared catalog of exercises to use when building workouts. You can use a catalog exercise as it is, or save your own editable copy when you want to change it.
Coach Catalyst exercises and My Exercises
Coach Catalyst (CC) exercises are maintained by Coach Catalyst and are read-only in your account.
My Exercises are your account’s own exercises. You can create and edit these yourself.
A CC badge identifies catalog exercises on the coach web interface, including the exercise library, builder drawer, and inline exercise picker. Clients do not see this source badge in their app, and it is not shown on mobile.
Find and use an exercise
Go to Programs → Workouts → Exercises, or open the exercise library while building a workout.
Search for an exercise and use the source filters: All includes your exercises and enabled CC exercises; Mine shows your own; CC shows the Coach Catalyst catalog.
In the workout builder’s drawer and inline picker, matching owned exercises appear before CC matches. Check the badge when both sources have the same name.
Add the exercise to your workout and enter the sets, reps, and workout-specific details.
For a CC exercise, open its menu and choose View details to see its available description, video, and tags. For an exercise you own, use Edit exercise.
Saving a workout with a CC exercise keeps that exercise linked to the catalog. Saving the workout does not create a copy in My Exercises.
Save an editable copy
Open a CC exercise from Programs → Workouts → Exercises.
Choose Save a copy to My Exercises from its menu or read-only details view.
Give the copy a name that is unique in My Exercises, then create the copy. Names already used by archived owned exercises also count.
Find the new exercise with the Mine filter and edit it as needed.
The copy keeps the source’s available description, video, and tags. It has no CC badge, and later changes to the catalog do not overwrite your copy. Missing source details remain missing.
You can have an owned exercise and a CC exercise with the same name. Within My Exercises, however, names must be unique, including archived names.
Show or hide the catalog
The Coach Catalyst catalog is enabled by default. You can manage it in either location:
Programs → Workouts → Exercises → Databases
Settings → Integrations and Apps → Workouts → Exercise databases
These controls share the same account-wide setting. A change applies to every coach in the account. When the catalog is off, CC exercises are hidden from library searches and workout-builder search results. Source filters are hidden when no catalog is enabled.
Turning the catalog off does not remove CC exercises from workouts that already use them. Those workouts continue to work. Your owned exercises remain available.
